Jimmyjane Ascend 2 Vibrator Review: Conquering more, not just the skies

Jimmy Jane is produced and marketed as one of the most beautiful and most innovative sex toys. The Ascend 2 is one of their high-end vibrators that has an expensive look and feel and some serious rumble.

I have recently got the opportunity to use the Ascend 2 and I was pleasantly satisfied with all the characteristics of this headphones. Stick around for a detailed review that covers the pros, cons, features, and my suggestion on its use.

Design & Build Quality

The design of the Ascend 2 is elegant and slim and looks/smood very premium, thanks to its silicone shell that has a slightly matte feel. But it is exceptionally smooth and velvety. It is significantly 8 inches long and can easily be handled and used around the house. In construction, the backpack appears and feels robust, with some heft to it as the manufacturers claim but this is relatively light at 6.4 oz.

Performance & Function

This is where the Ascend 2 really stands out. The two motors offer uniquely strong, vibrating and resonant pulses that can be transmitted all over the body of the toy.

Just at the point where the constant speed is the slowest, it delivers a more forceful level of vibrations than most usual vibe when it is at its highest speed.

This vibe is very convenient, thanks to the USB rechargeability. Charging for 2 full hours gives you up to 2 hours of usage on a single charge. And you can charge it in any USB interface, from a laptop to an external battery charger, to recharge the battery almost everywhere.

It has one of the most useful features for the power button, which has a travel lock for it when not in use in order to increase the battery life. This is also true with the covered charging port, where one is also able to charge in the bathtub.

Care & Maintenance

It is also completely waterproof and constructed of silicone for easy cleaning, a feature of the Ascend 2. It can be immersed fully in water to be washed with soap and water containing anti-bacterial substances therein. Silicone is also easier to sterilize; you can boil it for several minutes or just put it in a 10% bleach solution.

Using a toy cleaner spray also works well. Just don’t use any soap that may scratch the surface and stick to water-based lubes because they slither around the most. To avoid any moisture buildup, it is important to let it air dry. And a lint-free cloth shall be used in wiping off any dust it attracts after use.

There are no additional accessories in the package, but the company supplies a satin soft storage pouch manufactured from polyester and spandex. It perfectly made to ensure that the Ascend 2 is safe from any contact surfaces when stowed in a bedside drawer or luggage when traveling.

What Could Be Better?

To be quite frank, there are few issues at all that I can really complain about when it comes to the Ascend 2. It is quite a shame it was not completely waterproof and suitable for bath-time play, but only waterproof up to a certain level of pressure.

Having the option to plug in an old-fashioned wired charging option in addition to the USB means you will never be left powerless. But surely you can’t help but notice these things because, after all, these are very minor issues!

Summary & Recommendation

The Jimmyjane Ascend 2 indeed does not shy away from the high-end innovative sex toys that this brand is known for delivering. Fittingly, they were able to mix sleek and classy appeal, fine workmanship, as well as raw might to come up with a sleek-looking but rather useful vibrator.

Cheaper vibes make me cringe like it’s thousand times better built; that is, yes, without any doubt, a product for the years to come.
